Yes... Alot of time spent playing this game and I love it

Don't how to introduce it tho; basically just been beating people up [and getting beaten back] alot now since Easter


Introduction:

Some of the things might not compare to WoW -> gameplay and raiding but certainly shouldn't really be compared since it has a different fighting system (more easier or complex depends on how you look at it) with only 8 skills you can use and [NO POTIONS] which makes PvP pretty fast (4 minutes every 4vs4 battles about) and max PvP is Guild vs Guild and Heroes Ascent -> where your guild can get famous in are 8vs8 players unlike WoW's limit of epic battles of 40vs40

Graphics definitely is better than WoW however with more mature looks that plenty of male players would use female characters since they look good... [I use male characters for Role-playing and females for PvP-only ~better to kick people's butts with a little girl ]
-> Some people have claimed to be sexually turned on by guild wars characters.... somehow


PvP in a nutshell:

First times PvPing you will notice how important healers are; basically without one you can't win unless your team has alot of damage... in Random Arenas (RA) (4vs4) you need to be really lucky; tho there is something called Team Arenas (4vs4) you can only do it after winning 5 consecutive wins in Random Arenas (for some people this has seem impossible) but still you will need a good team; everyone else will certainly have one; after 5 consecutive wins in Team Arenas you can do Heroes Ascent (8vs8) [this I have never won in since a good team is REALLY hard to make and where expansion packs are definitely needed]


PvE (player vs environment):

This is pretty easy in the beginning but the later parts get pretty hard where you will need Heroes (from expansion packs: Nightfalls or Eye of the North) or human players [tho they might be as good]; I kinda find PvE boring being a PvP fanatic that likes to kill real people but not having heroes is another downfall here [o.k I admit, killing monsters is hard ]

Sounds good Ynniks but i dont know as the graphics r better than WOW just different and they r good no dispute there.
I played Factions cause i liked the assassins i had a female char and yes she was very beautiful. I didn't get to play much because my trial was up fast so really didn't get to know the game at all.
I bought platinum and its still in the wrapper. I just haven't had time to dl it and check it out. Im wondering if its worth it now to even start it cause i heard their making a Guild Warz 2 and that u cant bring ur old chars into it. U have to start fresh so to me theres no point to play the older version if u cant use ur chars in the new one. Let me know bout this k cause thats wot i heard.

Well GW2 is only coming out late next year so I can't be bothered waiting THAT long; I'd be in University by that time so theres definitely more extremes: either hardout play in the semester breaks or hardout study during the semester

But really you should give it a try - especially live through to PvP (then you can die if you want)

Yep me too. The raiding is a blast especially when u have a group of 10 or more. When ppl r crashing out because of the effects or wotever, I'm fondly reminded of the good ol days when we were running our mods on DS.
